The #GEN 2020 Digital Trade Fair in Metz

The #GEN digital trade fair took place from 9 to 10 September 2020 at the Robert Schuman Convention Centre in Metz. #GEN stands for “Grand-Est Numérique”, referring to the digital trade fair for France’s Grand Est region.

Julie Mogoun, Managing Director

The #GEN digital trade fair is an unmissable business event for the Saarland, eastern France, Luxembourg and Belgium region. InnoStratege, a company headquartered in Saarland, Germany, had the privilege of being part of the Saarland delegation.

The trip to #GEN2020 was supported by Anke Rehlinger, Saarland’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour, Energy and Transport. It was organised by FITT – Institute for Technology Transfer at Saarland University of Applied Sciences (FITT gGmbH). We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Stephanie Jüstel from INSPIRE METZ, who looked after us throughout our stay in Metz.

The programme included workshops and exhibitions covering current business topics and digital technologies. We had the opportunity to engage in constructive discussions with other participants.
InnoStratege also had the chance to establish valuable new contacts. Face masks were, of course, compulsory.
Several workshops took place simultaneously. The topics were so interesting that choosing which sessions to attend was not easy.
#GEN remains an essential event in the Greater Region. It is highly recommended for companies looking to expand into cross-border markets.
We hope that the health crisis will be over by the time #GEN2021 takes place.
